7. Redeem your points. The promotional website points you gain can be eventually redeemed for prizes including free cell phone minutes.
8. Call your service provider's activation number and follow necessary prompts to add minutes to your account through a gift card or redemption receipt.

How to Activate a Free USA Phone Number
Get Your Free USA Number
1. Click on the IP Kall link and sign up for a free Washington state phone number.You'll need to register your Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phone with a VOIP provider in order to use the service, but the phone number is issued free of charge. Anyone will be able to call your number for the price of a domestic call.
2. Navigate to the Virtual Phone Line website and sign up for a free account. The number is free, but you'll have to pay per call. Numbers can be routed to Google Talk or any Standard SIP provider like Pbx, Asterisk, or SER.
3. Click on the Grand Central link and sign up through your Google account. The Google service assigns you a free phone number. The phone numbers are available in most area codes and can be used to control aspects of your phone service, like what calls to receive and which to send to voice mail.

4. Click 'Settings' from your Google account, then click 'Add another phone.'
5. Type the phone number into the text box and 'Save.'

How to Send a Multimedia Message Online
1. Direct your browser to the website PixDrop. For a website link see resources.
2. Select your carrier. Currently PixDrop only supports Verizon, AT&T Sprint and T-Mobile.
3. Enter the 10-digit number where to MMS an image in the 'Recipients Mobile Number' field.
4. Upload your picture by clicking the 'Browse' button and navigating to the directory in which you have stored the image. Select the picture and press OK. Click 'Send Your Picture Message' and a picture will now be sent, for free, over MMS to the mobile number you entered.

1. Go to the Google Latitude page, and click on the large blue button on the upper-right corner of the screen that reads, 'Send to Phone.'

How to Send an SMS Programmatically
1. Navigate to a free automatic SMS messaging websites such as CDYNE, AutoMsg or Club Texting. All of these either have free trial SMS periods or free services. Register with the service you want to use and download the application software to your computer.
2. Connect your phone to the computer using the USB cable. Insert one end of the cable into the phone and the other into the open USB port on the computer. Make sure the connections are firm.
3. Locate and click on the application you downloaded. Enter the requested phone and personal information such as your name, cell phone number and cell phone provider. Continue following the on-screen prompts to install the application on the cell phone. Refer to your cell phone user manual for installing software applications, if the process is not straightforward.
4. Disconnect the cell phone from the computer once the installation is complete. Restart your cell phone and locate the new program either on the initial screen or by going to 'Menu,' 'Media' and 'Downloads.' Otherwise, if you can't find the program, refer to your cellular phone user manual to locate downloaded applications.
5. Enter the SMS texts that you want to send automatically. This could be a message such as 'Unavailable. I will contact you soon.' Other types of automatic schedule messages are available You can schedule them by following the SMS message instructions on the cell phone screen.
How to Send a Free Text From the US to the Netherlands
1. Open the SMS Free 4 All website and click 'SMS All Countries List' from the menu on the left. Scroll down to 'N' and click 'Netherlands.' Scroll down to the green box and enter the final six digits of the telephone number you want to send a text message to. Click the provider and area code for the number from the drop-down box on the right. Write your message in the large green box and when finished enter the verification text in the next box. Click 'Submit.'
2. Use the Text 4 Free website. Scroll down to the first pink box and enter the recipient's number in the empty box. Click '-ANY Netherlands Provider' from the drop-down box on the right. Write your message in the second pink box. Add a picture in box No. 4 if you so desire. Enter the text in the image in box No. 5 and click 'Send Message(s).'
3. Go to the website Send SMS Now and click 'Netherlands' from the first drop-down box labeled 'Country.' Click 'Orange-NL' in the 'Operator' drop-down box and enter the six-digit telephone number. Write your name in the 'From' box and the message you want to send in the 'Message Text' box. Click 'Send Message.' Note, the service on this website functions only for the cellphone carrier 'Orange.'

How to Install a Tracking Device in My Phone
iPhone
1. Tap 'Settings' on your iPhone home screen.
2. Tap 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars.'
3. Tap 'Add Account.'
4. Select 'MobileMe.'
5. Enter your Apple user name and password and then tap 'Next' or tap 'Create Free Apple ID' to set up an account.
6. Verify your account if required and then enable 'Find my iPhone' by sliding the setting to 'On.' Tap 'Allow' to initiate the application.
7. Launch a web browser on your computer and navigate to me.com.
8. Log in to your Apple account using the credentials you entered on your iPhone.
9. Click 'Find my iPhone' to view the current location of your iPhone. Access this page in the future in the event that your iPhone is lost or stolen to track the device.
Android
10. Launch a web browser and navigate to the InstaMapper registration page (see Resources).
11. Register for a free account and click the validation link sent to your email to configure your account.
12. Click 'Add a tracking device.'
13. Type a name for your device and select your preferred unit and then click 'Add.' A tracking key for your Android phone will be created. You will need to enter this into the app to link the device to the tracking website.
14. Tap 'Market' on your Android home screen.
15. Tap 'Search' and type 'InstaMapper.'
16. Click 'Download' to install the free application. You will need to enter your Android password to complete installation.
17. Tap the 'InstaMapper' icon on your home screen to launch the application.
18. Type the tracking key into the InstaMapper application to link the device to the website. Once the device is linked, configure the application to 'Auto-Start' in 'Settings' to ensure that the application is always running and tracking your device.
19. Log in to your InstaMapper account from a computer to see the current location of your device. Use this website in the future in the event that your Android phone is lost or stolen.
