SMS Tools for PC

This is a freeware tool, which means that you can use and share this program without having to pay a licensing fee, and it is compatible with Windows 98, 2000, NT, Millennium (Me) and XP. With this tool, you need to type in your phone number and the number for the tool. Then, you type your message and send it to the recipient, and you can then receive a response on your phone. While this tool is free, you are limited to only five text messages per day. This tool is available in both English and Spanish (see Resources for download).
iPhone SMS
The Aiseesoft iPhone SMS transfer software program allows you to back up your SMS texts to your computer, and it will convert them to .txt files so that you can read them on your computer. You can back-up your entire SMS library, only certain files or pieces of files, and you can then delete any unwanted SMS texts from the files stored on your computer. You can choose which folder you would like your texts saved. This tool is compatible with all versions of the iPhone, and it is also compatible with Windows 2000, Server 2003, NT 4.0, XP, Vista and 7. You can download a free trial version of this program, but you must purchase the full version when the free trial period expires. The product costs $45.00 in 2010 (see Resources).
WyeSoft SMS
This is a free tool that allows you to send SMS texts from your computer to both mobile devices and standard cell phones. You can either download this product, or you can send texts from the WyeSoft website. To use this program, you must create a WyeSoft identification (WSID) and password, and you can only send a limited number of texts per day. Once created, you can send messages to your friends, and you can add your signature so that your friends know who you are. The WyeSoft SMS program is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7 (see Resources for download).
How to Send Text HTML Email Messages in PHP
1. Create a page in your HTML editor and save it with a .php suffix. This tells the server that the page uses PHP and is required for your script to function.
2. Create opening and closing PHP tags within your page to tell the server that the contents of the tags should be treated as PHP code.

How to Get Free Caller Tunes
1. Navigate to Mytinyphone.com, a free ringtone website (see link in Resources).
2. Click the genre you want on the main page and search for the ringtone you want. When you find the ringtone you are looking for, click it. Select the carrier of your phone service. Type your cell phone number in the 'Enter Phone #' window.
3. Click 'Send.' The ringtone link will be sent to your phone in a text message. Get your cell phone and open the ringtone text message. Click the ringtone link in the text message. A new window will open to download the ringtone. Click 'Yes' to save and download the ringtone on your phone.
How to Send Free Text Messages From a PC to a Mobile

1. Go to the website Text4Free (see Resources for link).
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
3. Enter the cell phone number of the text recipient in the 'Number' field. Also, select the corresponding cell phone carrier.
4. Enter the message in the message box. You can write up to 140 characters.
5. Include your name at the end of the message, if you want the recipient to reply to this message.
6. Enter the security code on the website as you see it in the image.
7. Click 'Send Message.'

8. Go to the Email2SMS website (see Resources for link).
9. Enter the cell phone number of the text recipient in the 'Number' field. Enter the country code as well, for instance, +7-916-123-4567 (you can add the dashes or spaces if you want).
10. Add the number to your phone book if you want. Email2SMS allows you to add phone numbers to website's phone book so you don't have to type the number every time you text from the website. Check the box next to 'Add this phone into your phone book as...' Also, type the name of the person in the respective field so the phone book saves the number with the person's name.
11. Enter the message in the message box. To receive a message reply, include your name at the end of message.
12. Click 'Send SMS.'

13. Go to SMSFree4All (see Resources).
14. Select the country where you want to send the text.
15. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Enter the cell phone number of the text recipient in the 'Send SMS to Number' field. Also, select the corresponding cell phone carrier.
16. Enter the message in the message box. Also, enter the security code on the website as you see it in the image.
17. Click 'Submit.'
How to Send Text Messages With AOL Web Suite
1. Visit the AOL website and install AOL Instant Messenger on your computer if you don't yet have it. Register for an account by choosing a user name and password.
2. Go to the 'Buddy List' and add your friend as a contact. Enter his mobile phone number under the contact details.
3. Open the contact on the 'Buddy List' that you want to text. Click on the cell phone icon and write your message. Click 'Send.'
4. Add the cell phone number as the screen name for your recipient if she doesn't have an AOL account. In the contact description field you can enter her name. Just click 'Send an IM,' and on the form choose 'Send a Text Message.'
5. Send a text message to someone who may not be a regular contact. Just enter '+1 and the 10 digit cell phone number' into the screen name field. The person will receive the text and can send one back by clicking the 'Reply' button.

1. Navigate to the US Search.com website (link in Resources).
2. Enter the cell phone number you want to trace in the input field. You must include the area code with the phone number.
3. Click the 'Go' button to look up information about the phone's registered owner. The US Search.com website provides a free locational map that pinpoints the city and state in which the phone is registered. The phone carrier is also listed, and the website reports whether the number is assigned to a mobile phone or landline.

4. Visit the ReverseCellPhoneLookUpUSA website (link in Resources).
5. Enter the 10-digit mobile phone number you want to trace in the input field.
6. Click the 'Search' button to view the city and state in which the number is registered. This website also provides a locational map.

7. Navigate to the Free Phone Tracer website (link in Resources).
8. Type the 10-digit mobile number in the designated field.
9. Click the 'Find Now' button to view the county, city, state, longitude, latitude and carrier of the individual or company to whom the cell phone is registered.
How to Text Free Games to My Phone
1. Navigate to a website that offers free mobile phone games (see Resources).
2. Click the 'Games' tab or section. Click the specific category of games you are interested in, such as 'Action.'
3. Scroll through the list of games and click the one you want. Click the 'Download' button.
4. Follow the instructions on the Download page to send the game to your phone using text messaging.
5. Open the text message and reply 'Yes' to receive the game download. Select the game to install it on your phone.
