How Can I Track a Cell Phone Using Satellite?

1. Find GPS tracking software. Some of the most popular include Mologogo, Instamapper, and BuddyWay (see References below). These will allow you to follow your phone wherever it goes using your phone's existing GPS chip to send a signal to a satellite. This in turn sends a signal back to Earth and shows the phone's location via the Internet. As of 2010 all of these services are free.
2. Sign up for the GPS service of your choice on its website and providing an e-mail address, user name, password and your cell phone number. You will receive a text message within a few minutes giving you a URL where you can download your software to your phone.
3. Install the software on the phone, then restart the phone.
4. Boot up your computer, PDA, or another web-enabled cell phone and log in to the GPS website. You should see a map and a blinking red dot with your user name next to it. This is the phone you are tracking as seen by the satellite. You can now follow the phone anywhere it goes.

How to Unlock an ATT Cell Phone for Free

1. Find the 15-digit IMEI, or international mobile equipment identifier, code. Most often, this is located under the battery above the bar code. Write down the code and save it for later.
2. Determine the make and model of your phone. This is usually found somewhere on the phone. Write this information down as well, such as LG Shine (CU720).
3. Call AT&T's customer service center at 800 331 0500 to see if the company can provide an unlock code. Mention the make, model and IMEI of your phone.

How to Jailbreak a Cell Phone

How to Jailbreak an iPhone
1. Plug iPhone into computer via USB cable. iTunes will recognize the device. When connected to iPhone, iTunes automatically backs up iPhone contents unless set otherwise. If iTunes does not automatically back up the contents, click the device on the left side of the iTunes application. When the device contents pop up on the screen, click 'Sync.'
2. Download the Spirit jailbreak application from SpiritJB.com. After the download, a small pop-up window will read 'iPhone Connected.'
3. Click 'Jailbreak' on the screen. After clicking 'Jailbreak,' do not touch the device until it reads 'Restore Complete.' When the device restarts, a new application, Cydia, will appear on the home screen. Cydia is another application store, but it consists of free, unauthorized and third-party applications.
