How to Send Emails to Net10 Cell Phones
1. Locate the Net10 provider network for the email recipient. The second half of the email address to any cell phone is the provider network address. Therefore, you must locate which provider the Net10 customer is using. Free services such as FoneFinder.net and TelcoData.us (see Resources) allow you to insert a cell phone area code and the phone number prefix to determine which network services the Net10 customer.
2. Format the SMS address. After you find out which network the Net10 recipient is using, format the address into the SMS-compatible format. SMS stands for Short Message Service, and each network has its own format. For example, the SMS format for a phone on the AT&T network is @txt.att.net. Similarly, the SMS for the Verizon network is @vtext.com. For a complete listing of the SMS format for each cell phone carrier, visit the About Prepaid Cell Phones website (see Resources).
3. Insert the recipient phone number. Now that you have the SMS format, insert the recipient's Net10 area code and phone number before the network SMS address in the 'To' field in your email software. For example, sending an email to a Net10 customer using the Verizon network would look something like this: 2121234567@vtext.com.
4. Limit the email to 160 characters. Similar to text messages, the Net10 recipient can only receive messages with a maximum of 160 characters. Remember SMS means Short Message Service, and short is defined as 160 characters or less.

How to Download Ringtones for Prepaid Cell Phones
1. Start your search by heading to the website of the company that provides your cell phone service. While not all service providers offer ringtones for download, many do, and this is one way you can make sure your download will be compatible with your phone. Many prepaid providers offer you the chance to purchase custom ringtones as part of your calling plan.
2. Preview ringtones on the site. Most company sites are easily navigated, and you shouldn't have much trouble finding what you're looking for with a little poking around. Because you're a prepaid customer, though, the company may not permit the download to be charged to a phone bill and will instead demand up-front payment, usually by credit card.
3. Expand your options by doing a search for custom ringtones for cell phones, such as your favorite songs or TV and movie themes, which are widely available from dozens of different sites. Before you use these sites' services, though, make sure that your phone's make and model are compatible with the download you want.
4. Enter your phone number and pay for your download when you've selected the ringtone you want. While the specifics of completing the download will vary depending on the source you're using, ringtones are always sent directly from the site to your cell phone.
5. Learn where Internet downloads are stored on your cell phone. Refer to the owner's manual you got in your prepaid cell phone start-up kit if you need help locating it. Follow the instructions to activate the download and make it your new ringtone, which will usually require you to select the ringtone from a menu stored in your phone.
How to Receive Phone Calls on Your PC
1. Use iCall. This software is available for your desktop or through a Web browser. It allows you to make and receive free calls. You can either purchase your own personal phone number or use one of the company's local access numbers to receive calls straight to your PC. If you're not around to take the call, the software also has a free voicemail service.
2. Use Yahoo! Voice. The service costs $2.49 per month and upwards but gives you your own personal phone number. You can pick your own area code and get free voice mail as part of the monthly package. The service is currently limited to numbers in France, the United States and the United Kingdom, so anyone phoning from outside those countries would have to pay for an international call.
3. Download SkpeIn. If you have friends or family who don't use Skype, they can still call your Skype account from a land line or cell phone using your own personalized number. Skype has numbers available in 25 different countries and people calling you from the same area code of the number you have chosen only pay for a local call. Subscriptions to the service start at $18 for three months, or $60 for a year.
How to Unlock an ATT Tilt Passcode for Free
1. Check that your contact has been in good standing for at least the last 90 days (no late payments). You can also call AT&T customer service to determine your contract status.
2. Remove the battery from your phone. Write down the 'IMEI' number shown on the sticker attached to your Smartphone. Put your battery back on the phone and close the battery cover.
3. Call AT&T customer service. You can find your local customer service number on their customer service web page. You can also dial *611 from your phone.
4. Provide the customer service representative with your account number, your password when applicable and your phone's manufacturer (HTC or AT&T) and model (Tilt).
5. Write down the unlock code exactly as provided. If you are not calling from your phone you can also enter the information when the representative is on the phone with you. However, it is recommended that you write down the process.
6. Enter the code exactly as you have written it down. The phone will reset itself. Insert a new SIM card from another carrier and wait 15 to 20 seconds. If the phone displays signal strength from your new carrier it has been successfully unlocked. Repeat the process if no signal strength is displayed.
