1. Go to the website of a free SMS service provider, such as Peekamo.com, txtDrop.com or SendSMSNow.com.
2. Register with the website by following the prompts on the screen if required.
3. Enter the recipient's phone number and the message. Also, enter other required details, such as your email address, to get the SMS replies.
4. Click 'Send.'
How to Get Music on a Page Plus Phone
1. Visit Myxer.com, Phonezoo.com or Zedge.net and click the tab 'Ringtones.'
2. Navigate through the genre categories or enter the name of the song and/or artist in the search bar.
3. Select the song that you want to add to your phone and enter your Page Plus phone number into the appropriate field. Depending upon the website, you may be instructed to create an account first. If this is the case, create an account and follow the remaining prompts to send the song to your phone.
4. Agree to the terms and conditions (if applicable) and wait for a text message that contains a link to download the song to arrive to your mobile phone.
5. Open the text message and highlight the download link. Press the 'Menu' button followed by 'Open' to download the song onto your phone. When prompted, select the option to save the song to your music folder. Continue this process to add additional music to your phone.

How to Send an International Text
1. Select the option to 'Create a Text Message' on your phone. For most subscribers this is located under the 'Message' option on your cell phone screen. It may also be titled 'Write a Text Message' or 'New Text Message.'
2. Type in the phone number in the 'To' section of the 'Create Text Message' field. You will need to include a '+' symbol, the designated country code, operator code and the cell phone number of the recipient.
3. Input your text message in the 'Text' field. Be sure to use complete words and punctuation when typing your text message. Not everyone understands the abbreviations used in text messaging.
4. Press 'OK' to send your text message. Your cell phone may say 'Send.'
5. Wait for your 'Message Sent' confirmation. If there's a discrepancy in the country code your message won't be sent, and you won't receive the confirmation. Check the country code and complete international phone number for the text message. Send it again.
How to Send a MP3 to a Phone by SMS
1. Open your Internet browser, log in to your email and compose a new message. Find the cellphone service provider's gateway address. For example, to email a text message to a Verizon Wireless mobile phone, send your message to (10-digit phone number)@vmobl.com. AT&T is (10-digit phone number)@txt.att.net, and T Mobile is (10-digit phone number)@tmomail.net. You can find the address for your specific service provider in the References section link.
2. Attach your MP3 file to the email. Click on the attachment link in your email. It usually appears as paperclip symbol. It is possible to attach more than one file, but not unlimited files. The number of files you can attach depends on their size, email attachments have a file-size limit.
3. Email the message to the cellphone. Your email message will now be sent to the cellphone in the form of an SMS message.
4. Open the SMS message you just sent and download the attachments. Once you download the attachment, you can choose which folder you want to save it to. Once you save the file, you can play it on your phone's music player or set it as a ringtone.

How to Send SMS From MSN
1. Open and log in to your Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger) program.
2. Click 'Action' at the top, hover over 'Send' and select 'Send a message to a mobile device.'
3. Select the contact that you want to send the SMS to and click 'OK.' If you do not have the contact saved, you can 'Add a new friend,' enter the person's name, her phone number and save it. You do not need an MSN username for the contact to save it to your list.
4. Select whether or not you want to appear online to the recipient.
5. Enter your message in the text box and hit 'Enter' to send it.
How to Send a Text From Online for Free
1. Access your email account. Click on 'New Email.'
2. Enter the person's 10-digit mobile number and wireless carrier as the email address in the 'To' box. For example, if the recipient has Alltel, you would type 5557779311@message.alltel.com.See the reference section below for a list of wireless carriers and how to format the email address.

How to Send Receive Text Messages on Your Computer
AOL Instant Messenger
1. Download and install the AOL Instant Messenger software from the link in References. Open the program and sign into your account. If you do not have an account, you can register for one from the log-in window by clicking on the option to create an account and then following the account creation instructions. Alternatively, you can log in using your Facebook log-in information.
2. Click “IM” in the “Buddy List” window to open a new instant message.
3. Enter “+1” followed by receiver's telephone number, including area code, in the “To:” field. For example, if you would like to send a text to the number “555-444-3333,” you would enter “+15554443333,” omitting any extra characters from the phone number, such as hyphens.
4. Enter your message in the body of the instant message and then click “Send.” When the recipient responds, her message will be displayed in the same instant messaging window that was used to send the message. You can continue to reply to and receive messages using the instant messaging window.

5. Log in to your Gmail account with your Google account credentials. If you do not have an account, click the 'Create an Account' below the log-in box to create one for free.
6. Click 'Settings' in the top-right corner and then click on the 'Labs' tab.
7. Scroll down to the item marked 'Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat' and select 'Enable.' Click 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the window to return to Gmail.
8. Enter the telephone number, including area code, into the chat search box on the left side of the window. Click 'Send SMS.' Enter the name of the contact and click 'Save.' A chat box will appear at the bottom right of the screen.
9. Enter your message in the chat box and press the 'Enter' or 'Return' key. The text message will be delivered to the cell phone. The recipient can reply to the message, and replies will be displayed in the chat box.

10. Log in to your email program and compose a new message.
11. Locate the recipient's text message email address by using the carrier email extension list provided on Topbits.com using the link in References. The email address will always be the person's 10-digit phone number followed by the email extension. For example, the phone number 555-111-2222 on the AT&T network would have an email address of '5551112222@txt.att.net.'
12. Fill in the Subject field and enter your message in the body of the email window.
13. Click 'Send.' The user can reply directly to the text message, and his reply will be delivered to your email account.
