How to Make Free Phone Calls With Cell Phones

1. Download a software program that allows the you to make free calls on your phone. Skype.com and Fring.com offer free applications that are used by businesses and consumers worldwide. These applications use your Wi-Fi-enabled mobile device to transfer call data over the Internet. Don’t expect the voice quality of these calls to be excellent, though. They are, however, free and allow you connectivity throughout the world.
2. Register to receive a unique user ID at Skype.com or Fring.com. As the application loads on the phone, it displays a keypad to make calls. The system works for free as long as you make calls within its domain–that is, Skype to Skype or Fring to Fring. This works for calls to a basic telephone as well when the account is prepaid for non-Skype or non-Fring calls.
3. Access your Skype or Fring account through your phone to start using the service. The Skype and Fring services will ask for your user name and password when logging in.
4. Choose a number to dial and begin calling.
