2. Call or visit the sites of the service providers you are considering to find the right price and service package for your budget and needs.

1. Sign up with a 'no contract' plan and receive a prepaid Alltel Phone. There are often promotional periods where new customers can receive free minutes when they sign up and purchase a prepaid device with Alltel. Ask a customer service agent about any current promotions or check the Alltel website (see Resources) for running promotions.
2. Refill your minutes online. After becoming a new customer, you can get 40 minutes free a month just by refilling your minutes using your online account.
3. Sign up for Alltel's special offers, which you will receive through email or paper mail with advertising and instructions on how to earn free prepaid minutes to use with your phone. Provide a valid email address or resident address to begin receiving promotions and special offers. You will have to generally take a short survey or watch a promotional video and answer questions in order to earn minutes to use with your prepaid phone.
4. Speak with an Alltel customer service agent at one of Alltel's stores (which can be found in the 'store locator' link on their website) or call 1-800-255-8351 and request to speak with an agent about testing out a new Alltel prepaid phone. Mention to the agent that you are currently looking to switch network providers and would like to try out Alltel's service. How to Bypass GPRS Proxy Software


Hide Mobile
1. Launch your cell phone's Web browser and go to the Hide Mobile website (see Resources). Hide Mobile is a free proxy service where you can enjoy uncensored and unrestricted browsing regardless of the restrictive settings stemming from your cell phone provider GPRS settings.
2. Scroll down the Hide Mobile page and locate the text field that says 'www.youtube.com' in it. Type the URL of the website you are unable to access in that text field.
3. Click the 'Browse' button under the text field and Hide Mobile will bypass the GPRS software and redirect you to the website you were previously unable to access.
Best Proxy Free
4. Open you mobile's Web browser and navigate to the Best Proxy Free website (see Resources). This cost-free proxy will help you bypass any type of GPRS restrictions that are hindering your Internet surfing abilities on you cellular phone.
5. Locate the text bar on the mid-left region of the Best Proxy Free page and enter the URL you are unable to visit therein.
6. Click the 'Go!' button and Best Proxy Free will fetch the website that the GPRS software wasn't allowing you to view.

7. Access your mobile device's Web browser and visit the Jonathan's Corner website (see Resources). Jonathan's Corner enables you to access any Web content on your mobile device for free. It bypasses the GPRS software that is keeping you from visiting your favorite websites.
8. Click the link that reads 'Stronge.mobi.' this link is found in the mid section of the page. When redirected to the next page, type the URL you want to navigate to in the text box displayed with the 'URL' heading.
9. Click the 'Go!' button under the text box and Jonathan's Corner will circumvent the GPRS restrictions and fetch your desired website.

1. Go to a website that offers text messaging, such as Online Text Message, Text for Free or SMS Everywhere.
2. Enter the 10-digit mobile phone number to which you want to send a text message.
3. Type the message you want to send in the message form. Depending on which website you send a text from, the text message you send can be up to 100 to 150 characters long.
4. Enter the subject for your text if you use the Online Text Message or Text for Free websites. Also, if you use these two websites, select the carrier for the phone to which you're sending a text message. For example, AT&T and Verizon are two mobile phone carriers.
