How to Send a Fido SMS
From Your Cellphone
1. Navigate to the message menu.
2. Choose 'New Message.'
3. Type the number of the recipient in the 'To' field.
4. Type the short message.
5. Press 'Send.'
From Your Computer
6. Navigate to your email service.
7. Select 'Compose New Message.'
8. Enter the Fido subscriber's telephone number along with @fido.ca. For example, if the subscriber's number is 123-123-1234, you will enter 1231231234@fido.ca.
9. Type the short message in the body of the email.
10. Click 'Send.'
How to Send Large Text Messages
1. Send it as a normal text message. Some phones and wireless providers allow you more than 160 words. The message will simply be broken up and sent in multiple segments of 160 words.
2. Use the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). Sending a message via MMS is primarily for picture or video messaging, However, with some phones it can be also be used to send texts. Open the messaging application on your phone and click the menu button. An option to send the message as an MMS will be available if your phone supports this feature.
3. Break the message down. End your text message at 160 words and open a new text message and continue.

How to Enable Free WAP on the Samsung Intensity
1. Open the main menu on the Intensity by pressing the 'Menu' soft key.
2. Press the 9 key to enter the Settings & Tools menu.
3. Press 9 again to enter the hidden Service menu. The phone will prompt you for a code. Enter 000000 to access the menu.
4. Select 'Port Map (2)' and press the * button. The phone will prompt for another access code. Enter 0103219211 to access the Param Editor screen.
5. Select 'USERPREFS Editor' and change the HIDDEN_MENUS: option to 1 and press 'OK.' This will enable the hidden menus that will allow you to access the WAP proxy.
6. Press the 'End' key to return to the main screen.
7. Open the main menu and select 'Media Center.'
8. Press the # key and the phone will prompt you for your lock code. This is the code you use to unlock your phone when you turn it on. The default code is the last four digits of your phone number.
9. Change the settings to the free WAP proxy of your choice.
How to Get Ring Tones for SafeLink Wireless Cell Phones
1. Visit Myxer.com, Phonezoo.com or Zedge.net from your computer.
2. Select the tab 'Ringtones' and search the categories until you find a tone that you want to download.
3. Click the option 'Send to Phone' and enter your SafeLink mobile phone number.
4. Wait for the ring tone download to arrive by text message. Open the text message on your phone. Select the option 'Download.'
5. Wait until the download is complete. Depending upon the model of your phone, the ring tone may start to play.

The key element is that ipipi.com is global, which separates it from other services that only provide national coverage.
TextSendr
TextSendr is an online messaging service that allows for SMS messaging through your browser without an account. All you have to do is type in the recipient's phone number, and the message is sent. By entering your email address, replies to the text messages are automatically sent to your email inbox, where you can continue the conversation through email. The only drawback with TextSendr is that it requires the recipient to have picture messaging enabled. Otherwise, SMS messages never arrive.
Text'em
Text'em (textem.net) is a simple text messaging portal that allows for messaging online. Like TextSendr, picture messaging has to be enabled on the recipient's phone. Unlike TextSendr, you can create a free account where you send and receive text messages through a chat-like interface.
MySMS
MySMS is an app that installs to your Android SMART phone or device. Once installed, you can send and receive texts through the app or by logging into your account on your computer. There is no way to use the application unless it is already downloaded and installed to your Android device.
Yahoo!
Yahoo's email service provides SMS text messaging in much the same way as Google. All you have to do is add the phone number to the contact information in your 'Contacts' and click on the number once it is saved. A chat window will open and you can enter a text message just as if you were chatting with the recipient online.
