List of SMS Email Extensions

Verizon Wireless
The email extension for Verizon Wireless users is '@vtext.com'---add this extension after the full cell-phone number. When you send a text message to a Verizon customer you have a 160-character limit per text---any email you send longer than that will separate into two or more messages.
AT&T Wireless
You can reach an AT&T Wireless cell-phone account holder by emailing the phone number followed by 'txt.att.net.' Like Verizon, AT&T also has a 160 character limit on each text message. Keep in mind that AT&T Wireless now includes former customers from Alltel and Cingular.
Sprint
Sprint, which merged with Nextel in 2005, has two different extensions for subscribers. Before you attempt to send your message, find out if the person you want to text is a former Nextel customer first. Use '@messaging.sprintpcs.com' to send a text message via email to a Sprint user and '@messaging.nextel.com' if it's a former Nextel customer. In either case, the message size limit is 500 characters for Sprint (and Nextel) users.
T-Mobile
T-Mobile, another popular mobile service, also allows you to send short messages via email. If you need to send your text message via T-Mobile, type '@tmomail.net' after the full cell-phone number. T-Mobile permits 160 characters per text.

How to Ping Pinpoint a Cell Phone

1. Acquire the phone's number. If you wish to find out where a cell phone is located by pinging it, you first need to know the number assigned to it. This can be found out by asking the person. Or, if it's your phone, you can call your service provider and ask for the number associated with your phone (if you don't already know it).
2. Ask the cellular phone service provider to pinpoint your phone. Because phones automatically ping when they are turned on and when they make calls, you don't have to initiate any type of ping and can simply ask to have them located.
3. Supply any information or get consent from the owner of the cell phone and acquire the cell phone's location. If you can't get the consent or the correct information, move on to the next step.
4. Determine if the cell phone has a GPS tracking chip. All U.S.-manufactured cell phones made after 2005 have a GPS tracking device. This became standard due to the events of 9/11.
5. Find a GPS tracking service. There are many online that require payment to use, such as AccuTracking, and some are free, like BuddyWay.
6. Install the software that came from the tracking service's website onto the phone or phones you wish to trace.
7. Log in to the website of your tracking service and get the coordinates for the phone. Some sites offer more statistics, such as recent locations, the amount of battery power and the current route if the cell phone is moving.

How to Spoof a Phone

1. Connect to the Internet using your computer or your phone.
2. Go to your favorite search engine.
3. Type in the keywords 'spoof phone free.' Many options will appear. Some options will change your number or your voice.
4. Select a service that provides the spoofing option that you would like. Note that some are free and some are not.
5. Provide the information required in the information bars. Most spoofing websites require your name, email address, phone number, phone carrier, country, and recipient's phone number.
6. Call or text the number you are spoofing using the code that the service provides to you and following the spoofing websites exact directions. Some services may allow you to spoof text directly from their website.

How to Call Information for Free Using a Cell Phone

1. Dial a free 411 service. Free 411 offers a directory assistance service, as does Google.
2. After you call, an advertisement will be presented. After the ad is done, you will have an option to connect to the business that was advertised, or proceed with the directory listing service.
3. Use the automated menu to get to the directory information. You will have to say 'business' and then give the city and state of the business. Next, say the name of the business or the type of business.
4. The automated system will come back with a list of results. Say the name of the result about which you want information.
5. The automated system will ask if you want to be connected to the business or if you want details about the business. Then, if you choose details, you will be given the business name and address. If you choose to be connected, then you will be transferred to the place of business.

How to Upgrade a Cricket Phone

1. Select the model phone that you would like, and compare it with other models to ensure you are getting the best deal. Check and make sure it is compatible with Cricket Wireless before you buy it. Research the phone to make your best selection possible.
2. Buy the phone either from Cricket, or via a third party vendor. Select a third party vendor that you know is reliable, because otherwise you could purchase a phone that is not up to par.
3. Activate the phone via one of three ways. You can go to a Cricket store or a wireless store affiliated with the Cricket company and get it activated, call Cricket's customer service to activate the phone or activate the phone online. Once it is activated call someone to check and see that the phone is working, and then call your phone from another number to make sure that you can get incoming calls.
