How to Get a Free Verizon Phone

1. Go online to the Verizon Wireless website. Normally, the company's website features a Free Phones section. Review and pick a phone you like.
2. Visit a local Verizon store and ask a sales associate what free phones Verizon currently offers. Some free phone offers come with instant rebates and others come with deferred mail-in rebates. With the mail-in offers, you pay up front, but get your money back later. It's still free, but you have to pay out of pocket first.
3. Check for existing member discounts. If you are currently in contract with Verizon, you may qualify for dollar value discount where the company reduces the phone price. These discount qualifiers vary from year to year, but members typically qualify when their contract is close to expiring.
4. Find out your discount, then pick a phone that costs you zero out of pocket after Verizon applies your discount.

How to Fix Static in a Phone Line

1. Verify that all phone cords are securely plugged in. You should hear the plugged ends snap into place inside the wall jack and phone base. Tug on it very gently to verify that both ends are connected.
2. Disconnect the phone 's cord from the wall jack if you still hear static. Unplug the phone adapter power cord from the AC wall outlet. Unplug the adapter jack from the phone base. Wait one minute, and then replug all connections. Pick up the phone and check for a static-free dial tone.
3. Unplug the answering machine if you still hear static. Pick up the phone and check for a static-free dial tone. How to Trace International Phone Numbers

1. Redial the number by pressing the Redial button to automatically, or dial the number seen on your caller ID to call back the number. Although this is one of the easier ways to quickly trace an international phone number, it can also incur unexpected long-distance charges.
2. Find the country code. It's helpful to know from which country the call originated for tracing an international number trace (Step 3). For example, Countrycallingcodes.com offers a reverse code lookup that identifies the country.
3. Trace the number. There are online searches that offer reverse international number searches. For example, at 411.com you can find online telephone directories for different countries, some of which offer reverse phone number searches. Also, at Tp2location.com you can trace the geographical location for an international phone number.
4. Find international telephone directories. Numberway.com provides links to a wide variety of online international telephone directories, some of which offer reverse number lookups. After you select a country on the web page, additional information for that country displays, such as descriptions of different regions in the country, types of directories, and instructions for using them.
5. Hire a private investigator. If you're having trouble tracing an international phone number, consider hiring a private investigator. Many investigators have the background and international resources to help quickly identify a phone number. To find an experienced investigator, contact your state professional private investigator association and request an investigator who can help you trace an international phone number.
