1. Find a website that will allow you to send an anonymous SMS. Several that you can use include Text4Free.net, SendSMSNow, or OnlineTextMessage. These are free services as of 2010, and you do not need to register or leave a return phone number or email address. Your text message will be anonymous.
2. Go to the site and type in the phone number of where the anonymous text is to be sent. Select the cell phone service provider from the drop-down box.
3. Write your message in the box provided. You can use up to 140 character. Then type in the captcha code, if needed. This is the box with the random numbers or letters that appear at the bottom of the screen. This prevents people from using automated programs to send to spam. Click the 'Send' button to send your message.

10. Inserting a quick text is optional if you do not want to type your message out. Proceed to enter your message in the 'Enter Message' field. The maximum number of characters for each SMS message is 100.

1. Select the option for 'New Message' or 'New Text Message' on your cell phone.

2. Enter your SafeLink enrollment ID. You received your enrollment ID at the time you applied for SafeLink services. If you can't locate your enrollment ID, you can enter your date of birth, the last four digits of your Social Security number and your ZIP Code.
3. Click the 'GO' button for detailed information about the status of your SafeLink application. If SafeLink has approved your application, the enrollment status tool will provide tracking information for your SafeLink phone. This tracking information includes details about the expected delivery date of your phone.

How to Send Text Messages Larger Than 160 Characters
1. Type your text message like you normally would, disregarding how long it is.
2. Send the message to your recipient. If the text is longer than 160 characters, it will go through to the recipient in more than one message. For example, if you send a message between 161 and 320 characters, it will be sent in two messages.
3. Go to the 'Outbox' section of your phone and double check to make sure your message of over 160 characters went through. It will be listed as being sent in the 'Outbox.'
