How to Get Free 411 Service
1.
Google created a free 411 service that is paid for by business advertisers instead of phone company customers like you and me. In order to use the free 411 service, you simply need to dial 1-800-GOOG-411 from your cell phone. Click on the link below to see a video that Google made to introduce their new toll free directory assistance service.
2. Google's free 411 service asks you for the city and state, and the name of the listing that you are looking for. The directory assistance service is an automated system that is remarkably good at voice recognition. You simply speak the answers to the questions, and Google's computers figure out what you said.
3.
Finally, Google's free 411 service will tell you the number that you are looking for. If you are calling from a cell phone, you will also have the option to say 'text message' or 'map it,' which will prompt Google to send you a text message with the number or a map to the location.
How to Enter a Blacklist on SMS
1. Use your cellular service provider's SMS blocking options. Some providers allow you to set different blocking options at the customer service website. AT&T, for example, offers a 'Messaging Preferences' page, where you can block all SMS sent over email, SMS sent from specific email accounts or domains or all SMS. After choosing one of these options, AT&T will SMS a one-time code to the cellphone for authentication. Enter that code on the 'Messaging Preferences' webpage to have the selections take effect.
2. Install SMS-blocking software on your cellular phone. This is a more flexible alternative. For example, an app called 'iBlackList' allows iPhone users to filter SMS by a variety of criteria, either black- or white-listing them source by source. 'iBlackList' can be configured to ignore SMS from individual phone numbers or email addresses. You can protect your configuration with a password for additional security.
3. Write SMS-blocking software for the cellular phone, if the phone can run code that you develop. This is the most complex and most flexible alternative. The criteria that such an application can follow to black- or white-list an SMS are endless--they are limited only by your programming skill. For example, SMS could be blacklisted depending on how many previous SMS have been received from the same source, or depending on how many of them have actually been read by the user. The SMS-Popup Application webpage (see References) includes sample code for a telephone running the Android operating system.

How to Get a Free 411 Directory on a Phone
1. Dial 1-800-FREE-411 on your cell phone when you need a number right away. Request a personal or business listing to match your needs.
2. Listen to a 10 second message from the company's advertisers, tailored to the phone number you ask for. Considering the price of cell phone information, this is a small price to pay.
3. Pay attention to the message, because your call connects when it is over. If the company doesn't have an advertiser for the type of business you requested, the message is very short.
4. Follow the voice prompts and ask for the number you need, after listening to the advertisement on your cell phone. These advertising messages are how the service remains free to you.
5. Receive the phone number you requested.
How to Send Free Voice SMS
1. Find the 'Send Messages' option on your cell phone. If you cannot find this option, check the manual. Most phones make the 'Send Message' option very easy to find since text messaging is so popular.
2. Chose 'Send Message.' You should see a menu with message options. Select 'SMS voice message' and select 'Record.'
3. Speak your message into your cell phone microphone. When you are finished recording your message, press 'Send.'
4. If you prefer, you can use a message sending program that allows you to send messages from the Internet, such as SMS Life. iPhone users can download the Panama.ma Voice Messenger application for convenient sending.
How to Locate a Person From a Cell Phone Number For Free
1. Call your cell phone provider and ask the representative to trace the number for you if it's coming into your cell phone. Many providers will do this for their customers if the calls come repeatedly or if they're threatening in nature.
2. Visit the Free Cell Phone Lookups website. This website will allow you to search for cell phone owners by first entering the cell phone number in the directory.
3. Enter the cell phone in one of the popular search engines such as Google--include the entire number and ZIP code, if you know it. Sometimes numbers are listed on other websites from people wondering who owns the number.
4. Return the phone call yourself and ask the person why he called. This is obviously the best way to locate the person who has been calling you and it only takes a few minutes.
How to Send an SMS to UAE
1. Compose a new SMS. Enter your message into the text field. Access the destination entry field of the message.
2. Enter the exit code of the country from which you are messaging. For example, enter 011 if messaging from the USA. Enter the UAE country code, 971, directly after the exit code. The country code refers to a national prefix used when calling that particular country from another. A code consisting of one, two or three digits is assigned to each country by the International Telecommunications Union for international calls.
3. Enter the recipient's phone number directly after 971. Select the 'Send' option as you would when sending a domestic SMS.
4. Access the 'Sent Messages' folder on your phone. If the message was sent successfully, it should appear in the folder.
