Users also looking to receive free faxes can do so with the k7 service. Users who do not have a computer or are not online often should use Laser Voicemail, as it simply requires you to call 206-376-1000 to activate and check your voice mail.
2. Set up your free account with the service that best suits your need. Set up for all services works in a similarly intuitive way except for Laser Voicemail (see Step 1).
3. Write down your personal number and voice mail PIN. This is the number that people will call to leave you a message. To check your voice mail or change your settings, follow the simple directions provided when you've finished setting up your account.
4. Customize your personal greeting. All the options listed allow users to customize their greeting or choose an automated greeting. Call your personal voice mail box and enter your PIN. Follow the directions to record your greeting.

1. Press the 'Menu' key on your mobile phone and select either 'Messages' or 'Messaging.'
2. Select the option to create a new SMS message. Depending on the model of your mobile phone, you may need to select 'Create New' or 'New Message.'
3. Enter your international direct dialing number (IDD) followed by the country code in the 'To' field. The IDD number indicates the country from which the text originates. Locate your IDD number using the Country Calling Codes online tool (see Resources). The country code for StarHub customers is 65.
4. Enter the recipient's mobile number in the 'To' field following the IDD number and country code.
5. Enter the text for your message in the appropriate field and select the 'Send' option. Press the 'End' key to exit to your phone's home screen.

How to Find their Identity With a Free Reverse Cell Phone Search Online

1. Conduct an online reverse phone number search on White Pages, AnyWho or 411. Each site offers users an opportunity to register their cell phone numbers with the site. If the person who called you is registered, her name is displayed when you search using the 10-digit cell phone number.

These sites will usually ask that you enter the recipient's phone number and a brief message, and then simply click 'Send.'

How to Activate a Cricket Phone

1. Charge your Cricket phone overnight by attaching the phone charger to your phone and plugging it into a nearby wall socket. The phone must be charged before you can activate it.
2. Call Cricket at (800) 274-2538 and choose the option for activating a new phone. You will have to use a different cell phone or a land line since your Cricket phone is not yet activated. Be prepared to give your Social Security number to the Cricket representative to activate your phone. If you prefer not to use a Social Security number, you may use your driver's license number instead.
3. Write down the information the Cricket representative will give you. She will give you a Cricket mobile directory number (MDN), which is your new cell phone number. You will also receive a 10-digit Cricket mobile identification number (MIN) and a 5-digit CDMA system ID number.
4. Turn on your new cell phone by pressing the red 'Power' button. Type *228 into the keypad and press 'Send.' A recorded message will come on your Cricket phone and you will be prompted to the enter the three numbers you wrote down in Step 3.
5. Complete the voice prompts and hang up the phone. Your Cricket phone is now activated and you can begin using it.
