How to Make Free Internet Phone Calls
1. First you need to download the proper program for making free internet phone calls. Go to www.skype.com. The first web page that you come to will allow you to click 'Download'. This is a free program
2. After you have downloaded Skype, you can make phone calls to other PC's. You must have a Internet connection, which you already do if you downloaded it, and a microphone and speakers. You can also purchase a USB phone to hook to your computer USB port. You have to register with a user name. You can then find other people, based on their user name, and call them.
3. Once you know your friend or families user name, you can then 'call' them. This is just as simple as using a regular phone. You just select the person and click call. You can also type in the phone number and make a phone call. In order to call other 'numbers' you must have a very low rate. These calls also include calling other countries. For instance, you can select the package that allows you to call cell phones and landlines anywhere in the US or Canada for $2.95 a month. You can stick to the free service by calling other people who have Skype and have a user name.
