How to Locate a Person's Home or Cell Phone Number for Free
1. Visit a free people-search website such as White Pages (see Resources).
2. Type the person's first and last name in the form fields. If you don't have the first name of the person or if you don't know the correct spelling of the person's first name, you may leave that form field blank. The last name of the person is the only required field for conducting a search. However, you can achieve more targeted results by providing additional information like the person's first name.
3. Enter the city and state of the person. Again, this information is not required but it narrows your search to help you find the right person.
4. Click the Submit button. The site will search for your person.
5. Scroll through the results. Click on the name of the person to view the home or cell phone number. If there is more than one result listed, look at the information provided for each individual with the name of the person you are attempting to locate and determine which person is the one you are seeking based on the age and location listed in the search results.
