How to Remove Space on a Cell Phone
USB Connection
1. Connect your phone to the USB cord, then plug it into the PC. Save the music, photos or video files you are going to delete from the phone to your PC. Once this is completed, unplug your phone and enter your phone's main menu.
2. Go into the 'Applications' or 'Media' folder and select the folder marked 'Music.' Select the file you no longer wish to keep on your phone. Go to 'Options' or the equivalent in the bottom left or right corner of the mobile phone screen and select 'Remove' or 'Delete.' Repeat this option as many times as you need to free up some space.
3. Go into your phone's menu and select 'Applications' or 'Menu.' Find a folder marked 'Capture' or 'Videos.' Select the videos or pictures you wish to delete and remove them. If you still have additional space that needs to be freed up, delete more of your media, and if this is not possible (i.e. you've deleted it all) delete your text messages.
4. Go into your phone's messaging center and then to your Outbox. Highlight the message you wish to delete, select 'Settings' and delete it. Repeat this action as much as you need. You can also perform this same action in your Inbox and email folders, also located within your messaging center.

How to Send a File Via SMS to a Cell Phone
1. Find out the recipient's cell phone carrier, number and gateway address. Most carriers provide a free gateway address that allows files to be sent by SMS. For example, to send a file via SMS to a Verizon Wireless cell phone, send it to (10 digit cell phone number)@vmobl.com.
2. Log into your email account and attach the desired file to the email. Do this by locating the 'attach file' link found on the email, then navigating to where the file is saved on your computer. Note that different email services have file size limits for attachments; if you have a large file, you might not be able to send it as an email.
3. Add a personal message explaining the file and requesting any action from the recipient. That way, the recipient will know what the file is for or what he needs to do with it.
4. Send the email once the file is attached and you have the correct gateway address. The file will be received by the recipient via SMS.
How to Set Up Text SMS Promotions
1. Assemble a list of numbers to be included in your promotion. These can be gathered from existing customers, visitors to your shop, guest comment cards or any other method that allows a customer to leave his cell phone number for the purposes of receiving promotional messages from you in the future.
2. Choose a text message service. There are many available, and a sample link is provided with this article. You will generally be able to choose from an interactive two-way service or a broadcast one-way service. A broadcast is an informational message like a commercial, while an interactive service encourages the receiver to respond to the message and is better for promotional contests or promotions limited to a set number of respondents.
3. Sign up for the service by clicking the appropriate link on the text message service's website. Some services will offer a free trial. For more complex and longer campaigns, you may want to speak to a representative to set up the service.
4. Provide the service with your company name, your message and your list of numbers. For an interactive service, you may want to compose a response message to send the customers once they respond to your message.
5. Follow the steps to complete the registration once you have entered the initial information. You will have to verify what time and date you want the message sent out, then be given a user name and password that will allow you to review the data on your sent messages and responses. Once the account is set up, you can run more campaigns easily using the online forms.
