How to Send a SMS to Another Country on the Internet
1. Find a site that allows you to send international SMS such as, Ipipi, VZW, and AT&T(see Resource links below). You will need to register for these sites and some of them may charge a per-text fee. Follow the steps below to send a message from each of these sites.
2. Go to VZW and select the mobile provider of your recipient. You will be able to send to 200 countries. You will be charged 25 cents for every text message you send. Enter your payment details. You can use PayPal or a major credit card. Type up your text message and click the 'Send' button
3. Go to AT&T's international text-messaging service. You can only use this service if you are an AT&T customer and you need to verify this, by entering your phone number or customer number to register. Once completed, you can log in and go to the messaging screen. You will be notified on your mobile phone whenever you send messages through the online message-sending feature.
4. Go to IPIPI. Register for an account. You have an option of paying a per-text fee of 10 cents or a monthly fee of $14.95 as of 2010. However, it comes with a 30-day free trial. You will be able to send your SMS to up to 200 countries and you will be able to receive texts free of charge.
