How to Make Free Phone Calls and Listen on a TV

1. Make sure your PC has Windows 98 or XP installed. You also need a broadband connection.
2. Get a TV tuner card with TV/video OUT. A TV tuner makes it possible to receive signals from cable TV on a PC. An example of a tuner card you can use is a VIVO card; it stands for Video In, Video Out.
3. Connect your PC to a television set; any television with a video input will work. Ensure that the sound works properly.
4. Download a program that allows you to dial free PC-to-phone calls from a computer. You have many VoIP program choices; Skype is one of them. Another option is AdCalls. Install whatever program you choose to use.
5. Select the installation directory if you download AdCalls. Click on Skin and then select skin1. Next, locate the file Timerdisplay.xml and open it with a text editor.
6. Locate timerdisplay. It should be towards the bottom of the file. Change this number to '99:99:99.' This will allow you to be on the phone an unlimited number of minutes.
7. Ensure that you have a microphone connected to your PC, run AdCalls and start talking.
