How to Send Web Text
1. Find a website that will allow you to send text messages. Three that you can use are SMSflick, Send-SMS-Now and Mjoy (see Resources).
2. Go to SMSFlick. From the drop-down menu, choose the country where your recipient is located. Add the cell phone number or local number of the recipient with the area code. Type your message in the box provided. You can use up to 100-characters. If you wish to send messages of up to 300 characters, then you can purchase a premium account that allows you to do so for $4.99 a month as of 2010.
3. Use Send-SMS-Now. Select the recipient's country and network service provider. Enter the recipient's mobile number. Type in your name in the 'From' field and type the body of your text message up to 160 characters. Complete the validation captcha text, and then click on the 'Send Message' button.
4. Use Mjoy. Choose your country on the drop-down menu. Enter your mobile phone number plus the country code. Complete the captcha code then click on the 'Join' button. Wait for an SMS on the cell phone number that you provided. Copy the link in that SMS and paste it to the address bar of your Web browser. Once the page is done loading, you will be presented with a small grid-like menu where in menu icons such as 'Free SMS' and 'Contacts' are included. Select the 'Free SMS' icon then click on 'New Message.' Type the recipient's number in the field provided while making sure that the number starts with a country code.
