How to Send Text Messages to a Powertel Cell

Send a Text Message to a Powertel Cell Phone from Your Cell Phone
1. Access the message application on your cell phone.
2. Type the person's name if it is saved in your cell phone contact list or the 10-digit Powertel cell phone number into the 'Recipient' box.
3. Type the message into the 'Text Message' box. Tap 'Send' when complete. The text message will appear shortly on the recipient's Powertel cell phone.

4. Open your e-mail account. Click on 'Compose New E-mail.' Place the cursor in the 'Recipient' box.
5. Type the person's 10-digit Powertel cell phone number along Powertel's e-mail address formatted correctly. cellphonenumber@ptel.net
6. Enter the body of the e-mail in the appropriate space. Send the e-mail. The email will show as a text message on the person's Powertel cell phone shortly.
