How to Find a Person Through a Cell Phone for Free
Search Engine
1. Open your browser and type the cell phone number with area code into the search field of your preferred search engine. Review the results.
2. Eliminate any results that only provide a long list of cell phone numbers. Visit any web sites such as social media, businesses or forums included in the search results.
3. Check that the number on the web site matches the number you are trying to locate. View the page for any additional details including the person's name or e-mail address.
Call
4. Place a call to the number of the person you are trying to locate.
5. Provide your name and explain the reason you are contacting her.
6. Ask for additional contact details including the person's name, if you don't already know it, e-mail address and mailing address.
Reverse Lookup
7. Open your browser and search for 'Cell Phone Reverse Lookup' in favorite search engine. Choose a link from the results and click on it.
8. Type the phone number, including area code, into the reverse lookup field. Submit the number.
9. Wait for the reverse lookup results to populate. Review the information. Typically these services provide limited information for free that may include the city, county and state where the number is located in addition to the cell phone carrier. For more detailed information, such as the person's name and address, you will have to register for an account and pay a small fee.
Cell Phone Provider
10. Dial the number for your cell phone provider. Follow the prompts that direct you to a customer service representative. Provide all requested security information including your name, phone number, address and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
11. Explain that you would like to get further information about a cell phone number that has called your cell phone. Supply the phone number.
12. Wait for the customer service representative to provide any details about the number. Make note of any information on a piece of paper.
