How Can I Send a Text Via Internet?
1. Go to the text4free.net site (see link in the References section). This website offers free text messaging services not only to U.S. providers' cell phones, but also to other countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
2. Scroll down to the 'Send Free SMS' portion of the Web page and enter the phone number along with the service provider of the recipient of the text message. Click on the 'Click to Add Another Recipient' button if you need to send a text to several people. You can add up to 10 different phone numbers and carriers.
3. Write your message in the text box provided in section two of the Web page. The text limit is 140 words.
4. Select the number of text messages you want to send in section three of the site. You have a choice of one, five or 10 messages to send at the same time. However, if you have more than one recipient, then only one copy will be sent by default.
5. Click on the 'Browse' button in section four of the site if you need to send a picture or an audio file with your message, and then double-click on the file you want to attach. T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and some other carriers will accept a multimedia attachment.
6. Enter the numeric text in section five, which is in place to protect spybots from sending automatic ad messages, and then click on 'Send Message(s)!' to finish texting.
