1. Contact an OnStar representative about hands-free minutes by calling (888) 466-7827 or pressing the blue OnStar button in your vehicle.
2. Tell your agent that you wish to purchase minutes for your vehicle's hands-free system. You will be able to answer calls with one press of a button, and you will be able to hear callers through your vehicle's stereo speakers. OnStar gives your vehicle an assigned phone number that you can give out to callers. When they call on that number, it will ring inside your vehicle's hands-free system.
3. If you are in your first two months of OnStar service, you can claim 30 free minutes. Contact a representative to get your account started with your free minutes. Hands-free calling is available on both the Safe & Sound and the Directions & Connections packages with OnStar.
