How to Free up Space on a BlackBerry Curve
Delete Applications
1. Press the 'Menu' key on the BlackBerry, which has the BlackBerry logo on it. This will bring up a list of all your applications. Scroll down to, and select, 'Options.'
2. Scroll to 'Advanced Options' and select it, then select 'Applications' at the top of the next menu. After a few seconds, the device will build a list of installed applications.
3. Locate an application that you no longer want or need. Highlight the application and press the 'Menu' key. Select 'Delete' from the pop-up menu, and then choose 'Delete' again to confirm your selection. The BlackBerry will pause for a moment, and then ask if you want to restart the device. Choose 'No' for now.'
4. Repeat the process for every application that you want to remove. If you don't see a 'Delete' option listed in the pop-up menu, it means that this is a required application which you cannot remove. Many BlackBerry devices come with several unnecessary fonts installed, so feel free to remove them if you don't care about reading non-English text.
5. Choose 'Yes,' instead of 'No,' to restart the device once you have deleted the last application that you want to get rid of. You can also manually restart the device at any time be removing and reinserting the battery. The extra memory created by removing these applications will not be available until you restart the BlackBerry.
