1. Locate the files you want to transfer on your computer and keep the window open.
2. Plug the USB end of the data cable into your computer and the other end into your cell phone's data port.
3. Put your phone into 'disk drive' or 'mass storage' mode when prompted. While the USB is connected, you will not be able to access any data that is on any additional, external memory card inside the phone because that is where the music will be saved to.
4. Click on 'Open Folders to View Files' when prompted on your computer. If the prompt does not open, go to your Start menu, click on 'Computer', locate your phone and open the folder. If using an Apple computer, the phone will show up as a new drive on the desktop.
5. Locate and open the folder in your phone that you wish to put your music into.
6. Open the folder on your computer your music is in.
7. Select the MP3 files you wish to put on your phone; drag and drop into the selected folder on your phone.
8. Right click on your phone's status in the Start menu on your computer and eject your phone to safely turn off the mass storage mode. If using an Apple computer, you must unmount the drive from your desktop.
