How to Send an SMS From Adium

1. Download the Adium Send Email/SMS Plugin from Adiumxtras.com.
2. Double-click on the Adium Send Email/SMS Plugin application package to begin installation on your computer and then follow the on screen instructions.
3. Click on the 'Finder' icon to access your file folders. Click on 'Applications' and double-click 'Adium' to start the application.
4. Right-click on the contact you want to SMS and then click 'Edit Email/SMS Settings...'
5. Enter the ten-digit cell phone number, select the recipient's cell phone carrier from the drop down menu and click 'Save'.
6. Right-click on any contact that has been updated with a phone number and carrier and select 'Send SMS'. Adium will open a text message field. Enter your message and click 'Send'.
