How to Send a Free SMS to Multiple Recipients
Using Text4Free
1. Go to the website Text4Free. (See Resources.)
2. Enter the phone number of the first recipient in the 'Number' field and select the network carrier from the drop down list.
3. Click 'Click to Add Another Recipient.'
4. Enter the number of the second recipient in the new field.
5. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 to add as many recipients as you want.
6. Type your message in the message box.
7. Enter the security code as you see it in the image.
8. Click 'Send Message(s).'
Using Google Chat
9. Create a Google account if you don't already have one. Go to Gmail (see Resources), click the 'Sign Up' button and fill out the form. Once you have an account of your own, sign in to your Gmail account. Click the 'Settings' link once your Gmail page loads.
10. Click the 'Labs' tab. Check the 'Enable' radio button next to 'Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat.'
11. Enter the number of the first recipient in the field under the 'Chat' box. Click 'Send SMS.'
12. Enter all the other phone numbers in the 'To' field and separate them with commas.
13. Type your SMS in the message box, and click 'Send.'
Using ICQ
14. Download and install ICQ on your computer. (See Resources.) It is an IM client that lets you send and receive SMS just like Google Chat. You can download the app from its website.
15. Launch ICQ after installation.
16. Enter all the cell phone numbers in the 'To' field, separated by commas.
17. Enter your SMS in the message box.
18. Click 'Send.'
