How to Stop SMS Utility Service

1. Boot the computer and log in using the username and password of an account that has Administrator access to the computer. Click the 'Start' or 'Globe' icon in the lower-left corner of the Windows 7 PC desktop and then click 'Control Panel.'
2. Click 'Administrative Tools' and then double-click 'Services.' The 'Services' window will appear.
3. Click the 'SMS Agent Host' service and then click the 'Stop' link located in the upper-left pane of the 'Services' window. The SMS Agent utility is now disabled.
