1. Dial '611' on your phone and press 'Send' to contact T-Mobile customer service. Request your unlock code.
2. Power off the phone after obtaining the unlock code. Remove the old SIM card from your phone and insert a non-T-Mobile SIM card into the phone.
3. Enter the SIM card PIN if necessary on the phone keypad. Press 'OK.' If you do not remember your PIN, obtain it from customer service by dialing '611' on the device and pressing 'Send.'
4. Enter the unlock code when prompted. The device will unlock and the phone will connect to the network registered with the SIM.
Yes. It is very simple to get the unlock code from the network provider. But it is not possible in all cases. Network providers doesn't provide unlock code easily before the contract expires.
