How to Send a Free Text Message Without Knowing the Carrier

Directly From Email
1. Compose a new message in your email.
2. Go to the 'To' field of your email and type in the 10-digit mobile number of the person you want to text. Add '@teleflip.com' to the number, as follows:XXXXXXXXXX@teleflip.com
3. Go to the body of your email and enter the message you want to send. Click 'Send' to send the text.
Send SMS Now
4. Go to Send SMS Now (see Resources).
5. Select the country you're sending the message to under 'numbers +' and type in the cell phone number to the right of the number.
6. Enter your name, phone number or email address into the 'from' text field.
7. Type your message into the message pad and click 'Send SMS.'
SMS Everywhere
8. Go to the SMS Everywhere website (see Resources).
9. Enter the 10-digit mobile number into the 'Send To' text field.
10. Type in your text message and click 'Send Now.'
TxtDrop
11. Go to the TxtDrop website (see Resources).
12. Enter your email address and the recipient's cell phone number.
13. Type in the message you wish to send and press the 'Send' button.
