How to Use an LG VX4500 Phone as a Modem for Free

1. Press the 'MENU' button. Select 'Settings,' 'Connections,' 'USB' and 'Data Modem.' Press the 'OK' button to enable.
2. Download the phone's modem drive from the LG website. Alternatively, you can install the drive from your LG's software.
3. Install the modem driver. Attach one end of the USB cable to your LG phone and the other to your computer's USB port.
4. Click 'Start' and 'Control Panel.' Click 'Network and Connections' from the menu. Select 'Create a Network' from the window.
5. Select 'Set up a Dial-Up Connection' from the list of options. Create a phone number, username and password. Click 'Create' at the bottom of the setup window to establish a connection.
