1. Determine your eligibility for Medicare. You are eligible for free hospital Medicare insurance (Part A) if you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident over age 65 and eligible to receive Social Security benefits or railroad retirement benefits. You may also be eligible at age 65 if you or your spouse worked in certain government jobs, or you are the dependent parent of a deceased child. (Reference 3)
2. Determine if you are eligible under age 65 due to certain medical conditions. Ask your doctor for help in evaluating your situation. 4. Look for the Initial Enrollment Questionnaire in your mailbox if you are eligible due to age. It should arrive about three months before you turn 65. Fill out the questionnaire as completely as you can. This will help you have all the information you need when you call to enroll. (Reference 1)
5. Call to enroll in Medicare Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. The phone number is 1-800-999-1118. The phone number for hearing-impaired people using TTY is 1-800-318-8782. Listen to the voice prompts that tell you which buttons to push to get through the message. How to Get a Toll Free Phone Number
1. Decide upon a phone number that you wish to have. This could be a number such as 1-800-YUR-BIZZ. Write down about 5 to 10 numbers that you want.
2. Contact your local phone companies to see if they have any of these toll-free numbers available. Toll-free numbers are given out on a first come, first serve basis.
3. Contact different phone service providers to get prices on toll-free numbers.
4. Choose a phone that will ring when the toll-free number is called. This phone could even be your cell phone.

Placing and Receiving Phone Calls
1. Turn the vehicle ignition and radio on, and place the vehicle in 'Park.' Put your phone in Bluetooth discovery mode.
2. Press the 'Phone' button to access the 'Phone Menu.' The radio display panel will show 'No Phone.' Press 'OK' so that 'Add Devices' appears on the display panel.
3. Press 'OK' to enter the 'Add Devices' menu. Press 'OK' again when 'Find Sync' appears. The radio display panel will show a six digit PIN, which you will enter into your phone when prompted. The display panel will show 'Connected' when complete.

8. Press 'Menu' at any time to enter the call menu. Press the 'Seek' buttons to scroll through the menu of various call options to place a call on hold, join two phone calls or access your phone book.

9. Press the 'Phone' button and scroll so that 'Text Message' appears on the display panel. Press 'OK' and 'Inbox XX' will display.
10. Press 'OK' again or say 'Read Message' and Sync will read your message aloud. Press the 'Seek' buttons to choose 'Reply to Message' and press 'OK.'
11. Scroll through the list of predefined messages and press 'OK' to choose your response. Press 'OK' again to confirm when the display panel shows 'Send Message?'
12. Press the 'Seek' buttons to scroll through the text message menu and access the various text messaging features.

13. Turn your MP3 player on and plug it into the USB port in your car.
14. Press the 'Voice' button to begin indexing your media files. Say 'USB' to access your MP3 player using voice commands when you hear the tone.

14. Select the recipient's mobile service provider from 'Step 4' and click 'Send free text message' to deliver your message.
