1. Use a free text message (also known as SMS-short message service) site such as Text4Free.net and SendSMSNow.com that will allow you to send text messages to your target country. A list of other sites can be found on the Gecko and Fly website, as well as on Free Globe SMS.
2. Read carefully the site's terms of use and privacy policies to see how both your mobile number (if you are required to provide one) and that of the SMS recipient will be used by the site. If the site requires registration, the email address or phone number may be used for advertising purposes. This is not the case with all texting sites.
3. Type in your phone number or email address (whichever may be required by the particular texting website you use), the recipient's phone number and your message in the respective text fields on the text message website. You may be required to choose the recipient's cell phone carrier from a drop-down menu. This information is not required in all cases.
