How to Get eBooks on Your Phone
1. Download an eBook onto your home computer and transfer it to your microSD card if your cell phone has a built-in PDF reader and microSD slot. You can find eBooks for sale on various retail websites, or you can download public domain books for free on sites such as Project Gutenberg. If your phone has Bluetooth, you can use the function to transfer the eBook from your computer. You can also use a USB connection from your computer to your phone for the book transfer.
2. Download eBooks onto your phone directly from an online store. For example, if you have the Apple iPhone, you can download eBooks directly from the iTunes App Store. The App Store offers both free eBooks and eBooks you can buy for a fraction of the cost of their print version.
3. Read directly from your phone's browser. Navigate to Authorama, which hosts a number of public domain books in HTML format. Read these eBooks directly from the phone's browser without having to actually download or save any files.
4. Search by page number and table of contents. Use your phone's built-in web browser to navigate to Tx2Ph.com, which hosts eBooks in Java format. With searching by page number and table of contents, Java makes the books easier to navigate than those that are HTML-formatted. You can also opt to rotate the text 90 degrees, allowing you to turn your phone sideways and view the text on a wider screen.
