How to Send MP3s to a Cell Phone for Free


1. Connect your cell phone to your computer with the USB cable that came with your phone.
2. Open your cell phone's folder on your computer. It will be listed in 'My Computer' under 'Devices With Removable Storage.' Double click on it to open it.
3. Find the MP3 file you want to send to your phone, click on it, and then drag it into your phone's folder. Wait for the transfer to complete and then close all the folders. You have just sent and MP3 to your phone and you can now unplug your device from the computer.
4. Open your phone's media folder and locate your MP3 file. It will likely be saved in the music folder on your phone. Once you find it, you can put it ina playlist, set it as a rigntone, or do wahtever you want with it. If you can't plug your phone into a computer at the moment, don't worry, there are other ways you can wirelessly send an MP3 to your phone for free.

5. Go online and log in to your email client from your computer.
6. Click on 'Compose New Message,' and type in the gateway address for the phone you want to send the MP3 ot in the 'Send To' text field. The gateway address is an address that every service provider gives its users to send emails as text messages. The address will look something like 1234567890@tmomail.net or 10-digit phone number@txt.att.net. You can find a list of addresses here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/email-to-sms/.
7. Click on the 'attach' icon (paperclip symbol), and find the MP3 file you want to send to your cell phone. Once you find the MP3, double click on it, and it will attach to the message.
8. Enter a subject in your message and then press send. The email will be sent to your phone in the form of a text message. You can now go on your phone, open the text message, and download the attachment.
