Open an online text message website of your choice.
2. Click on the 'Terms of Agreement' and read thoroughly before using the website.
3. Fill out the designated text message form on the main page of the website, including the person's MetroPCS cell number, your cell number (optional on some text message websites) and the text message.
4. Scroll through the list of carriers until you see MetroPCS, and click on it. It should appear in the designated box for the recipient's carrier.
5. Send the free text message. It should arrive shortly to the person's MetroPCS cell phone.

Log into your email account with your username and password. Click on 'Write New Email.'
7. Type the recipient's 10-digit MetroPCS cell number along with the correct way to format a MetroPCS cell phone email address. For example, enter '1234567890@mymetropcs.com' in the 'To:' box on the email form.
8. Type the message into the body of the email. Send when complete. The email will arrive as a text message to the person's MetroPCS cell phone momentarily.
