How to Send a Text Email to a Verizon Customer

1. Sign into your email account (For example Gmail, Yahoo!, work email, etc).
2. Click inside the 'To' box located on the page.
3. Type the Verizon number inside the box. Use no punctuation when writing the number (For example '1717171717'). Then, type the address '@vtext.com' after the ten-digit Verizon number (For example '1717171717@vtext.com').
4. Click in the 'Subject' line. Type in a subject for the email text message. This is not required.
5. Click inside the blank 'Message' box. Enter the email text message. Messages over the 160 character limit are emailed to the Verizon phone as two or more messages.
6. Click 'Send' to email the text message.
