Getting a Local Phone Book
1. Visit your telephone company's nearest office to acquire a telephone book. You will be asked to provide your phone number or a utility bill to prove your address. Virtually all local phone books are also available online either through your telephone provider's website or your city government's municipal home page.
2. Install a land line in your residence. A technician will usually have a few phone books on-hand if your line needs to be installed manually. If no technician is needed, the phone book will be most likely be mailed to you.
3. Contact your local phone company about when they deliver phone books to your area. New phone books are typically delivered to individual residences and apartment buildings once a year.
