How to Install Software Through SMS

1. Open your email application on your computer.
2. Click 'New' to start a new email message.
3. Type your or another recipient's cell phone number into the 'To' or 'Address' field. To send an SMS message via email services, you must type the number in the proper format: phonenumber@phonecarrieraddress. For a full list of phone carrier addresses, please see the Resources section.
4. Click on 'Attach' to attach a file from the computer.
5. Browse through the files on your computer, find the desired software file, and double-click to attach it to the message.
6. Wait for the file to upload. You should see a link with the file name showing above the body of the message when the file finishes uploading.
7. Click on 'Send' to send the message. Typically, it takes between a few seconds to a few minutes for a cell phone to receive a SMS message. The larger the file included in the message, the longer it may take to reach the recipient.
8. Open the message when received on the cell phone.
9. Select 'Open' or 'Download' to begin downloading the file onto the phone. This should install the software and initiate any walkthrough you must complete before completing the software installation process. The software should now be installed and stored in the cell phone memory.
