How to Add Free Minutes to a TracFone

1. Register your TracFone from its official website (see Resources). Input your current contact information, including name, address and date of birth. Create a secure account by entering a valid email address and password.
2. Enter the device's serial number, or IMEI, to have your TracFone device in the system. Locate the the serial number, or IMEI, under the TracFone's Prepaid Menu. It will shows up as 11, 15 or 18 digits.
3. Complete the registration by entering your cell phone's area code and number. Before submitting, review all personal information on the web form to make sure that it is correct.
4. To enter the promotional code on your TracFone, open up the 'Menu' selection on your phone's home page. Select the 'Prepaid' option. Click on 'Add Airtime' to type in the promotional code. Press 'OK' when finished.
5. To view you newly added airtime minutes, select 'Airtime Info' in the Prepaid menu. Contact a TracFone service representative to have the code entered manually if airtime minutes have failed to load.
