Phones that do not allow Myxer downloads sent to their phone include Nextel, Boost Mobile, Helio, Tracfone and Telus Mobility. In addition, some models of Audiovos, Kyocera, LG, Nokia, Pantech, Samsung, Sidekick and UTStarcom phones have disabled their downloaded ring tone features.
2. Visit http://www.myxer.com/make/ to upload the song you desire from your computer onto Myxer's website. Common song formats are accepted, such as MP3 and WMA.
3. Customize your media using Myxer's easy customization tool. This tool allows you to pick the section of the song you desire for your phone, up to 45 seconds. You can option to have your music clip fade in or out or not at all. If you want, you may skip this and Myxer will default to the clip of its choosing.
4. Send the file to your cell phone. Type in your mobile phone number and Myxer will send the customized music clip as a link in a text message or an attachment in a picture message to your phone depending on what your phone supports. If it is sent in a link, follow the link in your phone's Web browser to access it. If the music clip is sent in a picture message, merely save the attachment to your phone.
