How to Download Music Off of a Computer to a Boost Mobile Phone

1. Insert an SD memory card into the card slot on your Boost Mobile phone. Most device models position this slot beneath the battery or on the side of the phone.
2. Connect your Boost Mobile phone to your computer by plugging one end of the USB data cable into your cell phone and the other end into your computer's USB port. The PC will automatically detect your Boost phone and prepare itself for proper communication with the device.
3. Click the 'Start' menu on your desktop computer, scroll to 'All Programs' and then select the 'Windows Media Player' icon from the list of installed software. After Windows Media Player has started, your Boost Mobile phone will be detected by the program and you will be asked to give your phone a name for future recognition.
4. Click the large 'Sync' button at the top of the Windows Media Player program window. A generic cell phone icon will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the window in a separate pane beneath the familiar name you chose and your currently available song files will appear in the larger center area of the screen. Beneath the cell phone icon will be a horizontal storage capacity meter indicating the remaining space available on the SD memory card inserted in your Boost phone.
5. Choose the songs to download from the larger center portion of the program window. Scroll through the music list and locate the songs you want downloaded to your mobile phone. Place your mouse cursor over the song file of your choice, hold down the left mouse button and drag the file into the right-hand pane beneath the cell phone icon. Use this method to add all the music you want onto your phone. With each new file you drag to the 'Sync' pane, the remaining available storage space meter will decrease based on the size of the file. You may continue to add songs until there is insufficient capacity on the storage card to hold more files.
6. Initiate the download process after you have selected all the songs you want transferred or maximized the available storage space on your Boost Mobile phone. Click the 'Start Sync' button at the bottom of the right-hand pane to initiate the actual downloading of your song files. The duration of this process will vary depending on the number of songs you chose and the speed of your computer.
7. Disconnect your cell phone from the computer. After the successful transfer of music to your Boost Mobile phone, unplug the USB data cable from your device and your computer.
