How to Make Free International Calls with Skype


1. Sign into the Skype account on which your international friend is a contact. If you do not yet have him as a contact, add him by clicking 'Contacts' and then 'Add a contact' and following the prompts. You must wait for him to confirm you as a contact before you can call him.
2. Click the international contact who you wish to call in the 'Contacts' section on the left side of Skype.
3. Click the green 'Call' button to call your international contact. Unlike calls with a regular phone, you do not need to enter a country code or any other information to identify the call as an international one.

1. Go to a website like Mobiles24, Zedge or My Tiny Phone (see Resources).
2. Browse through available ringtones on the main page. You can choose one of the categories to narrow down the ringtone results.
3. Click the 'Play' button to preview different ringtones. To download one, click the 'Download' button and save it on your computer desktop.
4. Connect your Sasktel phone to the computer via USB data cable. On most phones, you are prompted to select a connection mode; select 'Data Transfer Mode' or 'Mass Storage Mode.'
5. Go to 'Start' > 'My Computer' and double click to open your phone's folder, which may be listed as a 'Removable Disk.'
6. Double click to open the 'Ringtones' or 'Sounds' folder.
7. Drag and drop the ringtone you saved on the desktop into the 'Sounds' or 'Ringtones' folder. Once it finishes copying, disconnect the USB cable. The free downloaded tone will be in the ringtone alerts menu of your phone now.

How to Send Free Audio to a Cell Phone

1. Double-click the icon for your email program, such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. You may also use a webmail service.
2. Start a new mail message by clicking 'New' or 'Write.' Click the option for 'Insert' or 'Attach' and then locate the audio file on your system.
3. Enter the email address of the cell phone to which you want to send the audio file. The email address for a cell phone is the user's phone number and the domain used by the carrier. Enter this as '1234567890@[carrier].com.'
4. Send the completed email message to the cell phone.

5. Go to the Beam It Up Scotty website. Click the 'Browse' button that is in the Upload bar. Locate the audio file on your system and then click the 'Open' button.

7. Click the radio button in the Compression bar for the compression type to use. If you do not want to use a compression option, select 'No Compression.'
8. Click the 'Get Download Link' button in the Download Link bar.
9. Enter the email address for the cell phone in the text box. Put a check in the 'Accept the General Terms and Conditions' box and then click the 'OK' button. This will send the download link for the file to your email.

How to Send a Video to a Cell Phone for Free


1. Turn off your cell phone and remove the SD storage unit, usually located on the side or back of the phone. Insert the SD card into its adapter, and the adapter into your computer's SD port. If using a USB cable, turn on your cell phone. Attach one end of the cable to your phone and the other to your computer.
2. Choose the 'Open Folder to View Files Using Windows Explorer' option when prompted by the pop-up Windows Explorer screen. (This will open automatically once your computer recognizes the device connection).
3. Navigate to your SD card's 'Video' or equivalent folder.

How to Send SMS With a Program


1. Download a program that supports chat to SMS formats such as Skype. Set up a user name, profile and 'Skype number' by following the introduction prompts that follow the program download. Access the prompts (if missed during download) by clicking the 'tools' pull down menu, and then 'Skype Access.'
2. Select the 'Call Phones' tab in the left column of the Skype interface. Type the phone number in the provided box area code first with using the traditional '1' beforehand. Click the bottom right hand number of the number pad that says 'SMS' after typing in the number.
3. Type in the body of the text message in the box that appears after clicking the 'SMS' button. Make sure the SMS message is only 62 characters, or the message will be broken up in to several messages for each group of 62. Select the send button. Wait a moment for the text message to send and a receipt of delivery will appear on screen shortly.

1. Open the emailing program on your computer and click 'Compose' to open a new, blank message.
2. Click 'Attach a File' and use the pop-up window to select a song from your computer to add to your phone. Click on the song and then click 'Open.'
