How to Send MP3 Ringtones to Your Phone for Free
1. Direct your web browser to a mobile content site, such as Myxer and Zedge (see Resources).
2. Click the mobile content site's 'Ringtones' category tab on the homepage menu. Several ringtone music genres, such as hip hop, R&B, pop, and rock, should be displayed on the Ringtones' homepage.
3. Select the genre of your choice, and browse the MP3 ringtone downloads listed for that particular genre.
4. Click the artist name and song title link for the MP3 ringtone you want to send to your cell phone.
5. Click the 'Get Ringtone' 'Download' or 'Download to Phone' action. The next screen will prompt for your 10-digit mobile number.
6. Type your 10-digit mobile number in the three form boxes that will be provided. (You may also be prompted to provide the name of your mobile service provider to associate your mobile number with the carrier.)
7. Click 'Send' or 'Send to Phone' to send the MP3 ringtone download link to your mobile phone.
8. Open the text message from the mobile content site. A link will be provided in the text message.
9. Access the link on your cell phone. The phone will redirect to mobile web. A download option will be displayed.
10. Opt to download the MP3 ringtone from the link in mobile web. Once the ringtone is downloaded, it will be stored to the phone's internal memory drive.
