How to Send a Text Via Email With Verizon

1. Compose an email using your preferred email program or site.
2. Address the email to your friend's cell phone number, including the area code, adding '@vtext.com.' For example, if your friend's full phone number is 987-654-3210, address the message to 9876543210@vtext.com. Send the email the same way you would normally.
3. Check the email inbox associated with the email account you just used for any replies from your friend. If you receive a reply and wish to send a response back, just reply to the email normally. Your reply goes to your friend's phone as another text message.
