How to Activate Hands

1. Plug your wired headset into the headphone port on your Nortel phone. When plugged in, a wired headset is essentially activated. Press the hands-free button on your phone in order to make or answer calls using the headset.
2. Pair a Bluetooth hands-free headset or device to your Nortel phone by going into the phone's Bluetooth menu (found under settings) and having the phone 'Search for new devices.'
3. Enter the pairing code for your headset or speakerphone into your Nortel phone when prompted to connect the two. The pairing code is a series of number and letter and is typically found on a sticker on either the headset itself or on the manual that came with the device.
4. Leave your hands-free device powered on and near your Nortel phone when you think you will want to use it. When a call comes in you can answer the call with your hands-free deviced. Your Bluetooth hands-free device will always be activated on your phone, with no need to do the pairing process again.
5. Press the hands-free button with no headset connected in order to use the speakerphone on your Nortel phone.
