How to Send an SMS Through a GPRS Modem

1. Go to SendSMSNow and select the destination country, mobile service provider and the mobile number of the receiver. Type in your name in the 'From' field, and type in a message of up to 120 characters. Enter the validation code and hit the 'Send Message' button.
2. Use SMSflick.com.  Select the recipient's country of residence. Enter the phone number, then type in your alias or name in the 'Sender name' field.  If you want to remain anonymous, leave this field blank. Type in the body of your message; which should only be no more than 100-characters long. Finally, do the captcha test and click the 'Send' button. As of 2010, it is free to send text messages of up to 100 characters, but if you would like to send larger messages (of up to 300 characters), you can opt to pay $4.99 per month.
3. Go to SeaSMS. Click the SMS/MMS button near the animated tool bar on the right. Select either 'India' or the 'Rest of the World' under 'Select Destination.' A list of mobile operators will then become available under the 'Select Operator' drop-down menu. Choose the one that the recipient of the message uses. Enter your name or your alias, and then type in the body of your message, up to 160 characters. Hit the 'Send' button.
