How to Get Unlimited Free Text on Any SIM

1. Find the SMS gateway associated with the cell phone number you want to send a text message to. You can find a link with SMS gateway information for major cellular service providers in the U.S. in the Resources section of this article. You need to know both the cellular phone number and the associated cellular network to send a free text message. If you don't know the cellular network, ask the person you want to send a free text message to what cellular service provider he uses.
2. Connect your cell phone to a Wi-Fi or cellular data network.
3. Open an email client or Web-based email program on your phone.
4. Type the 10-digit cellular phone number followed by the SMS gateway information in the 'Send to' field of your email client. For example, if you want to send a free text message to Verizon, you would type '5555555555@vtext.com,' where '5555555555' is the 10-digit cellular number you want to send the text message to.
5. Type the text message in the body of the email.
6. Click the email client's 'Send' button to send the free text message.
