How to Get a Safe Link Phone Easily

1. Review the eligibility guidelines for the SafeLink Wireless program listed on safelinkwireless.com. Guidelines vary by state, but you are generally eligible if you participate in one or more of federal government programs such as Food Stamps, Medicaid, National free school lunch, Federal housing, Section 8, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). If you do not qualify under the eligibility guidelines, you may qualify based on your total household income.
2. Apply for the SafeLink wireless phone by calling 1-800-SAFELINK or visiting safelinkwireless.com. On the website, you can input your home zip code and see what application options are available based on the state you live in.
3. Fill out the application at safelinkwireless.com. Input personal information such as name, address, contact information and social security number. You may be asked to provide proof of your eligibility for the SafeLink phone, which can include paperwork from public assistance programs, federal government programs or recent paystubs.
4. Select one of the three airtime plans for your new SafeLink phone. Plans include local and long distance calls, and text messages. Provide your mailing address to receive your SafeLink phone by mail; expect to receive your phone within seven to 10 business days.
