How to Send an SMS With an Analog Modem

1. Log onto the Internet using your analog phone and open up your web browser.
2. Surf to a site that you can use to send online texts. Examples include Text4Free, MobileSender and FreeSMSMobile. All of these are free to use as of 2010. None of these even requires you to register.
3. Enter the phone number of the person receiving the text message. Choose the cell phone service provider that you are sending the SMS to.
4. Enter the SMS message. This can be up to 140 characters long. Type in the security code and click the 'Send' button.
